About Jacob
Jacob Pride is a dedicated public servant and lifelong resident of Smithfield Township. He graduated from East Stroudsburg University, where he earned a degree in Political Science with a concentration in Public Administration. He is engaged to Carson Horvath, and together they call Smithfield home.
Motivated by the lack of progress in the Township, and the outward migration of residents, Jacob ran for Supervisor in 2019. Jacob took office in January of 2020 and was elected Chairman of the Board by his colleagues in 2021. As a Supervisor, Jacob has spearheaded initiatives on transparency, staff modernization, economic development, and quality of life issues.
He is Smithfield’s liaison for Emergency Services, ensuring first responders have the tools and support they need to protect the community. Jacob transformed the Township’s digital presence, allowing for more citizen engagement.
Jacob’s leadership is marked by a commitment to balancing progress with preservation, making Smithfield a safer, stronger place to live.
